CALL FOR PAPERS/PRESENTATIONS

The first Collegiate Way conference was held in 2014 at Durham University in the UK. The second Collegiate Way conference is a major opportunity for Heads of Colleges/Residences and Senior Management from universities around the world to gather to share their experience and expertise.

The theme of the Second International Collegiate Way Conference is: Collegiate Communities – Global Contexts.

If you would like to share your initiatives, best practices, challenges and successes at your organization/residence, please submit a summary of your presentation. Your presentation should explore and discuss critical issues, giving special consideration to the theme. Topics areas might include (but not be limited to) the realities of providing collegiate community and care in centralized and corporate university contexts; colleges and the ‘business’/goals of the university; working with boards and councils; projects and development; supporting and engaging postgraduate students; alumni and community engagement; initiatives in pastoral care and academic support; support for international students, and programs of inclusion/diversity; and the role and place of social media in college life.

SUBMISSION OF PRESENTATION

Deadline for submission is Extended to  5pm, Friday 25 March 2016 (Australian EST)
All submissions are to be sent to Alicia Watson at ajwatson@netspace.net.au , with the subject title “2nd ICW 2016 Call for Presentations”.
The conference is for professional development and exchange - No marketing of corporate services / products for monetary gain is allowed.
Selected presentations will be notified by 2 May 2016.

 GUIDELINES FOR PRESENTERS

Presentation slots will mainly be 30 minutes in duration.
Presenters are responsible for creating, compiling and submitting any PowerPoint presentations to Alicia Watson at ajwatson@netspace.net.au  by Monday 10 October 2016.
Please note that presenters of papers are still required to pay the conference fees and be responsible for their flight and accommodation arrangements and related costs. It is anticipated that, with permission, papers will be published on websites such as those of CWI, UCA etc. following the Conference.
